Over millennia, the rushing alpine waters of Drini i Bardhë sliced a 30-meter deep limestone canyon through the rugged landscape. The resulting gorge creates a microclimate where rare flora flourishes along sheer marble cliffs.
Every summer, brave divers gather on the crown of Ura e Fshajt for the traditional high-diving competition. Leaping from a height of 22 meters into the turquoise currents below, divers perform the historic "Swallow Dive" (Kërcimi i Shqiponjës).
